Singer and Artístepreneur, Stacey Trenteseaux, is a performer, opera singer, and coach consultant in Jackson, Mississippi. Her passion is helping people discover, embrace, and express themselves and their “why.” She trains people to apply imagination, wisdom, creativity, and authenticity in their job, family, community and cultural or artistic endeavors. Stacey is currently Executive Director of Opera Mississippi; a professional singer; and a performance coach, consultant, teacher, and mentor for young and professional artists and businesspeople.

With roots in both the creative and business worlds, Stacey’s personal vision is to see artists and entrepreneurs share business savvy and creativity to empower each other, incite change, bring balance, and activate more joy in their respective industries. She helps organizations and individuals design programs and express artistic concepts; find, write, and speak their artistic voice; implement creative business strategies and operations philosophies; practice new management styles and empathetic leadership; refine intra-and interpersonal communication; improve public speaking and professional presentations; and identify and fill gaps in their own creative/entrepreneurship skillset and knowledgebase. Her collaborators experience radical mindset transformations, see new perspectives, gain clarity, learn how to integrate more creativity into their workplace, become inspired to move in new directions, find confidence in their own personal expression, and take bold steps toward more abundant careers and achieving their goals. After working with Stacey, many clients have won life-changing new jobs or promotions, received competitive scholarships and awards in their industry or schools, executed successful and fulfilling artistic projects, launched their own personal businesses, or elevated their position in their workforce.

As a professional opera singer, Stacey has sung with various companies in the United States and Germany. Upcoming performances include: Handel's Messiah (November 2022) and Be My Love with tenor, Peter Lake (February 2023) with the Natchez Festival of Music, Rosalinda in J. Strauss’ Die Fledermaus (April 2023) with Opera Mississippi at Thalia Mara Hall in Jackson, and a concert of sacred American hymns and spirituals (June 2023) in Sarstedt, Germany). She made her German debut in 2018 as Luisa in Verdi’s Luisa Miller with Münchens Kleinstes Opernhaus at Pasinger Fabrik in Munich and sang with SemperZwei of the Dresden Semperoper in American composer Liam Wade’s opera “Eine Oktoberfest Oper.” Other operatic roles include Juliette from Gounod’s Romeo et Juliette, Micaëla in Bizet’s Carmen, Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte, Hanna in Lehár’s Die lustige Witwe, Angelica in Pucinni’s Suor Angelica, and First Lady in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, among others. She has also performed for the Astoria Music Festival, Manhattan Opera Studio, Savannah VOICE Experience, Cincinnati Conservatory Summer Music Program, Operafestival di Roma, and Opernfest Prague.

One of Stacey’s greatest joys is collaborating with friends, family, community members, and artists to create poignant concerts that move, touch, and empower people. She regularly curates classical and jazz concerts for private parties, local businesses, and arts and civic organizations in the Jackson-Metro area, Natchez, and Hattiesburg. Memorable collaborations include: “Liederabend-Zeitenwende” with German pianist, Thomas Cadenbach at the Sawallisch Stiftung in Grassau Germany (2020), “A Night of Love Songs” and “Moonlight and Magic!” with Chinese American pianist Zhaolei Xie performed for Opera Mississippi and the Natchez Festival of Music (2020 & 2019); “Fierce Femmes,” a virtual concert collaboration with Mezzo Soprano Michal Doron sponsored by Opera Mississippi (2020); “Mondenschein” performed in Dresden with American pianist Ellen Rissinger at the Robert Schumann concert hall in the Coselpalais Dresden (2018); and the world premier of PostSecret: A Song Cycle by award-winning composer Jonathan Posthuma at the New Music Composer’s Symposium in Hattiesburg, Mississippi (2016).
